For anyone interested in Soundtrack , like myself 🙂 – The Hanna soundtrack will be available for purchase on iTunes this Tuesday, while the film is due April 8.
The Chemical Brothers are getting into the celebrity-composer act, which has become increasingly popular thanks to high sales of Daft Punk’s awesome soundtrack for TRON: Legacy and Trent Reznor’s equally awesome, Oscar-winning score for The Social Network. Now the recent Grammy nominees have put the entire score for Hanna up on Myspace for fans to listen to — and, in addition to some appropriately moody cinematic stuff, there are also plenty of reminders that this was composed by guys who will be owning Coachella this year. Head over to Myspace for a listen or watch the Hanna trailer (featuring the track “Container Park”) below. Continue reading Listen To The Chemical Brothers’ Soundtrack For ‘Hanna’
JustJared.com reported actors James Franco and Cate Blanchett dropped out of “While We’re Young” film before it starts filming in mid-June in New York City.
Franco dropped out due to the scheduling conflict with Sam Raimi’s “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” in which he plays the lead role.
Blanchett pulled out of the project after Franco’s departure, but it is not known for what reason. Maybe it has something to do with the production of “The Hobbit” films?
Comedian-actor Ben Stiller is still attached to the project despite these departures.
The film is about a free-spirited Booklynite twenty-something couple who inspires an uptight documentarian and his wife to loosen up – with comedic consequences.
Director Noah Baumbach will helm the project. Baumbach and Stiller worked together previously in “Greenberg.”
Baumbach has a unique comedic approach towards his movies. The writer-director has a long list of movies in his filmography including “Kicking and Screaming,” “Highball,” “Mr. Jealousy,” “The Squid and the Whale,” “Margot at the Wedding,” and “Greenberg.”
He also wrote the script for “While We’re Young.” His long-time film collaborator Scott Rudin (“Greenberg, “Fantastic Mr. Fox”) will be producing the project and Focus Features will handle the distribution.
Greta Gerwig was previously set to play the young wife, but she left earlier from the project due to scheduling issues.
So with three out of four departed from the project—hopefully they could still save this film. Time for a casting call for new actors!

Hanna (to be played by Ms. Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a solider; these come from being raised by her father (Mr. Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Sweden. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Ms. Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.
EW reported yesterday that Cate has signed onto the cast of Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy epic The Hobbit!
Cate Blanchett had better start brushing up on her Elvish. The Australian actress has signed on to the cast of director Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy epic The Hobbit, reprising the role of the ethereal elf Galadriel that she played in Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. The announcement of Blanchett’s casting comes as something of a surprise, since the character of Galadriel doesn’t actually appear in Tolkien’s novel. Then again, there are virtually no female characters in the book whatsoever, so Jackson is clearly looking to balance out the two-part film somewhat in terms of gender.
Screen captures from the recently released Robin Hood, have been added to the gallery! If you haven’t seen the movie yet you should definitely go pick up a copy 🙂
