Cate Blanchett’s first major TV role was for the series Heartland opposite Ernie Dingo, it was considered groundbreaking at the time since it was the first major TV series written by Aboriginal Australians and with a cast that consist of mainly Aboriginal people.

She guest-starred and made a cameo on a couple of TV series over the years. It wasn’t until 2020 that she returned with major roles for the small screen with Stateless and Mrs. America where she was also an executive producer. Her most recent TV series is Disclaimer* directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

She earned two Primetime Emmy nominations for best actress and producer (Mrs. America), and won two AACTA TV Awards for supporting actress and producer (Stateless).
