Cate met the Dalai Lama. Here are pictures and an article from Daily Telegraph.
CATE Blanchett was given a traditional white Tibetan sash in front of 10,000 people yesterday at one of the public talks being given by the Dalai Lama.
Going onstage at the Sydney Entertainment Centre – where the cherished monk held his two-day Beyond Religion: The 14th Dalai Lama On The Benefits Of Living Ethically seminar, tickets for which ranged from $337 to $721 – the Oscar-winner bowed as she was blessed by His Holiness, who is on his eighth tour of Australia.
The meeting capped off what was an assumably inspiring weekend for Blanchett, who Russell Crowe just announced was his best onscreen kiss.
Crowe – who has puckered up with Kim Bassinger and Meg Ryan – said Blanchett “holds the mantle” for his favourite celluloid pash, in Robin Hood, released in 2010.
