First glimpse to a new magazine cover, the first of 2016, for Cate Blanchett! Today marks the 18th wedding anniversary for Cate and her husband Andrew Upton, married on December 29th, 1997. Our best wishes to the couple.

Cate Blanchett opens up about her newly adopted daughter in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
“We got a phone call earlier this year and we adopted a little girl,” she says. “You’re on the list and then you get the call. You don’t know anything about the child you’re going to meet.”
The actress, who already has three sons; Dashiell, 14, Roman 11, and eight-year-old Ignatius, also reveals that she’s planning on taking a career break in 2016 in order to focus on her newly expanded family.
“I’m not planning on working much in 2016 either,” she tells us. “Our three biological children have been extraordinary. It’s been wonderful watching them become a little brood.”
