Cate Blanchett hosted screenings of Noora Niasari’s Shayda on Friday and Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon last night in London.
Cate was joined by her co-executive producer, Coco Francini, on Shayda screening. They also recorded an interview which we hopefully get to see when Shayda releases in the UK on March 8th or as the awards season goes. The film is Australia’s official entry for Best International Film at the Oscars.
Meanwhile, for Killers of the Flower Moon screening that Cate hosted, she also introduced the film which was attended by its lead, Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone.

I listened to this article. How do I submit my 15x Award-Winning screenplay and pitch deck?
A story worth telling.
My name is Michele – award-winning screenplay writer, storyteller, and survivor.
I’m reaching out to share my story ‘A Son’s Gift.’ It is a spiritually driven, emotional story based on my true experience of caring for my son Nicky, who passed away from bone cancer at the young age of 18.
As I’ve shared my sacred story with the world, I’ve received an outpouring of individuals who feel seen – who’ve found hope in their grief journey and purpose in their pain.
The story features a bereaved mother who’s stepping into the role of caregiver, guided by the spirit of her deceased son.
Through powerful and poignant experiences, she is guided each step of the way to step into her new role as a grief warrior – someone who helps others find the light on the other side of death and grief.
This screenplay presents an opportunity to talk about what most of us are uncomfortable talking about – death.
However, most of us have dealt with the loss of loved ones. That’s why this piece has the capacity to reach the hearts and help heal the souls of its viewers.
It’s a message we all need to hear, especially after this past year.
I’ve laid out the logline, synopsis, characters, comparables, mood, tone, setting, as well as a bit about my story and the urgent value this message can bring to the screens in the pitch deck below.
Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, feedback, or ideas. I am open to this journey and trust you will feel the weight of its relevance, as well.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Michele Bell
